A Book and a Chat with Donna Fletcher Crow

Donna Fletcher Crow my guest today on "A Book and a Chat" has always wanted to be a writer, well rather a reader and that has since turned into writing, not only that but she managed to find time along the way to participated in competitive riding, winning the titles of Snake River Stampede Rodeo Queen in 1959 and Miss Rodeo Idaho in 1960 and she was a runner up in the Miss Rodeo America 1960 competition.

However all the time she was destined to follow the literary path, going from short adventure stories staring herself and of course illustrated in the 6th grade to becoming an award winning author with 36 books behind her. These books cover subjects from cooking to romance stories though she is best known for her historical novels, including the award winning “Glastonbury”, an Arthurian grail search epic covering 15 centuries of English history.

After a few years respite from the publishing treadmill, Donna is back with a vengeance with three different series of books on the go, “The Monastery Murders”, “Elizabeth and Richard Mystery’s” and “Lord Andrew Series”.

Each of her series and indeed her books are full of historical information as well as wonderful stories, mostly they are set in Britain, be is England of with books such as “'The Fields of Bannockburn” in Scotland, and as Donna shared with us, there will soon be one set in Wales.

About “A Darkly Hidden Truth” (The Monastery Murders)” (Taken from Donna’s Web Site)

This book is the second in the Monastery Murders series following her successful first novel “A Very Private Grave”, where we learn of Felicity Howard, a young American studying for the Anglican priesthood at the College of the Transfiguration in Yorkshire, is devastated when she finds her beloved Father Dominic bludgeoned to death and Father Antony, her church history lecturer, soaked in his blood
.
In this second book… Felicity can't possibly help Father Antony find the valuable missing icon. She's off to become a nun. And then her impossible mother turns up unexpectedly. And a good friend turns up murdered...

Breathtaking chase scenes, mystical worship services, dashes through remote water-logged landscapes, the wisdom of ancient holy women, and the arcane rites of The Knights Hospitaller keep the pages turning. Will Felicity choose the veil - or Antony?

With books being written and loved in so many series and by so many readers, and as we learned her masterpiece “Glastonbury” soon to be available in EBook format. I am sure the name Donna Fletcher Crow will on peoples “must read” list for many years to come

So listen now and share an interesting, and entertaining thirty minutes with my guest Donna Fletcher Crow
