Making a
welcome return on today’s “A Book and a Chat” is my guest Bruce Sarte.
Previously on
the show Bruce and I discussed his various writings which cover many styles and
subjects.
From the
vampire thriller “Sands of Time”,
and his paranormal murder mystery “Towering Pines
Volume One: Room 509” to the
story of how God selected “The Star of
Christmas”.
We learned on
the last show about his latest venture with which Bruce seems to have found his
slot in the literary market.
In “The Philadelphia
Story” Bruce introduced the readers to Detective Lance Carter together with his
partner, Linc Diesel, travel to the darker side of Philadelphia.

It is like 1946's The Big Sleep was meeting up with a more
modern version of Detective Phillip Marlow. It had a flow that, while at times
was predictable, was incredibly smooth for the most part. Sarte does a great job of allowing his readers
a glimpse of Philadelphia and its rich history, as well as spinning a tale that
is fast paced and right in your face until the end.
The success of this first book in the Lance Carter series
