A Book and a Chat with Bruce Sarte

Making a welcome return on today’s “A Book and a Chat” is my guest Bruce Sarte.

Previously on the show Bruce and I discussed his various writings which cover many styles and subjects.

From the vampire thriller “Sands of Time”, and his paranormal murder mystery “Towering Pines Volume One: Room 509” to  the story of how God selected “The Star of Christmas”.

We learned on the last show about his latest venture with which Bruce seems to have found his slot in the literary market.

In “The Philadelphia Story” Bruce introduced the readers to Detective Lance Carter together with his partner, Linc Diesel, travel to the darker side of Philadelphia.

As one reviewer described the book…

It is like 1946's The Big Sleep was meeting up with a more modern version of Detective Phillip Marlow. It had a flow that, while at times was predictable, was incredibly smooth for the most part.  Sarte does a great job of allowing his readers a glimpse of Philadelphia and its rich history, as well as spinning a tale that is fast paced and right in your face until the end.

The success of this first book in the Lance Carter series has now been followed by “The Insider’s Story”.

About “The Insider’s Story” (taken from amazon):

An Amazon Hard Boiled Detective Top 20 Bestseller (November 2012)

Lance Carter is bringing back the classic detectives like Spenser, Dick Tracy and Dirty Harry all rolled into one - Kindle Soup Reviews (about Philadelphia Story)

When Lacey Ramsey walks into Lance Carter's office she wants to hire him to get her boyfriend out of trouble. Lance thinks she's nothing more than a girlfriend with an over active imagination... until he learns he is a Philadelphia Police Officer. When he learns he is an elite POINT team member, he is sure he wants nothing to do with this case.

When he learns Lacey's boyfriend is cheating on her and that is why he is ignoring Lacey, Lance thinks case closed.

But when the body count begins to mount he knows this case is far from closed...

With a third book Lance Carter book already underway plus the follow up to
Towering Pines Volume One: Room 509, the name Bruce Sarte looks like one to follow on your book shelves or library.
