A Book and a Chat with "Peter Wright"

My guest on today's "A Book and a Chat" is Peter Wright, whose born in Liverpool in 1926 has gone through as many stormy seas as he did himself as a sailor.

His new book Triumphs and Tragedies describes, as he puts it, "Twenty-five aspects of the life of a Liverpool Sailor."

In Triumphs and Tragedies, Peter shares with us 25 different pieces of his life, from his early days and the loss at sea of his father, through in the hard drinking, hard living life of a Liverpool sailor.

On the program Peter shared with us much of these snippets of what can only be described as a fascinating life. How he found comfort and release from alcohol, to the steps, not always successful ones, that he took to recover from alcoholism.

We heard about Peters steps to becoming a writer, and also the book he is currently working on "The Gentle Art of the Healer" a love story highlighting the interesting life of his late wife Gloria, a wonderful psychotherapist and as peter say - A Giver of Love and spiritual treasures.

Now eighty three, Peter's stores of his life still seem as fresh as the paint on a newly pained ship, something that he is able to portray to the readers in this wonderful book "Triumphs and Tragedies"

So sit back and listen to today's fascinating and entertaining radio show, or even download the mp3 file and listen later, as I share "A Book and a Chat with Peter Wright"
